How To Sleep Better With Qi Awareness?

1. Try stay with the natural schedule: not stay up too late, night time is a good time to rest for human

2. When going to bed, leave all the mental activities behind (try not to use your intelligence much, time to rest and sleep, rest and sleep)

3. When lie down, tell yourself that you are going to sleep well, you need it and you deserve it

4. Lie on the back or lie on your right side

5. When eyes are closed, try to send eyesight down towards the belly button, at least at the very beginning and stay that way as long as you are awake

6. Nurture yourself in a big environment, go beyond the room and house into space, start to say to yourself: I am in the universe, the universe is inside of me, I and the universe are one

7. Keep repeating the same message: I am in the universe, the universe is inside of me, I and the universe are one.  The more you say it, the more you mean it, the more you feel that really, you are connected with the universe

8. Start to pay attention to your breathing. Breathe naturally, and be aware of the breathing

9. When you are inhaling again, imagine that the pores all over your body open up and there is bright pure light being absorbed into the body; when exhaling, relax more and enjoy feeling the the light, feeling your body is more and more integrated with the light

10, If there is anything that you would like to get rid of, such as pain, sickness, negative energy, you can imagine all those shoot out of the body fast and far through all the pores along with you exhaling

11. Keep breathing in this way until you fall asleep

12. If you wake up during the night, start from the beginning and try to go back to sleep again (try not to engage with any thoughts coming through if you are not planning to get up yet)

13. When wake up in the morning, do the same body breathing for a couple of minutes before you jump off the bed. If time allows, rub hands and rub face and ears

14. Tell yourself that you are going to have a great day!

15. You are now ready to run

Chapter Four
SMILING OFTEN
Will Open Your Heart
 

             The next time you are feeling low, walk down the street, through the mall, across a park--wherever you find people--and smile at everyone you see. 

            Some people will smile back at you, some will not.  Who smiles back is not your concern, but do watch people's eyes. Soon you will see someone¡¯s eyes light up with joy as they smile back at you.  Your heart will open for a moment with no conditions or expectations. 

            Feel better?  Sure you do.  Smile at the cashier in the grocery store, the clerk in the gift shop, your waiter at lunch, your co-workers, your best friend, your family...smile at everyone you meet and you will feel better.  When you are smiling you are creating your world.  You are giving other people's words, actions and feelings less power over you. 

            Make smiling a habit.  A smile can change a frown into a rainbow.  Smile as often as possible and Be Happy!
